With this series of images I am exploring our spiritual connections
to trees and nature. These images are created in a very different way
than most of my other projects.
I usually see a tree or a landscape that has a certain simple, symbolic
shape that might hold some meaning beyond the physical. I hold that
tree or landscape in my mind asking for the right person to come into
my life to model for me. We work together, the model, the landscape
and me, to complete the image. Some of the time the person comes into
my awareness first. I hold the image of that person in my mind asking
for just the right tree or landscape to complet the image.
The process is a spiritual journey involving synergistic connections
and collaborations. I hope the images evoke a kind of synergy as well.
